Greetings, Oxford Dems! Below is a letter from our state party chairman summarizing results of this past weekend’s Democratic State Convention at the DCU Center in Worcester. Thanks to all the Oxford delegates for your attendance and enthusiasm! In addition to myself, these were: Paige Turcotte, Carleigh Mastrapasqua, Geri Hallas, Matt Pearson, Jim Wells, Mary Wells (ex-officio delegate), Jennifer Pearson (alternate delegate), and Devon Chhoeun (add-on delegate).

Hi, Democrats,

Our 2026 Massachusetts Democratic Convention has concluded! It was an incredible two days, marked by record turnout, remarkable energy, and undeniable momentum. Thank you to all of our delegates, alternates, and add-ons for giving their time and energy, and to our volunteers who helped make this Convention possible.

Now, we are thrilled to announce the candidates who received the endorsement of the Massachusetts Democratic Party in their respective races:

Governor: Maura Healey
Lieutenant Governor: Kim Driscoll
Attorney General: Andrea Joy Campbell
Auditor: Diana DiZoglio
Treasurer: Deborah B. Goldberg
Secretary of State: William F. Galvin

We are also pleased to announce that in the race for Massachusetts Senator, Senator Ed Markey received 72.94 percent of the delegate vote, and Congressman Seth Moulton received 27.06 percent of the delegate vote. Both will appear on the primary ballot this September.

Senator Markey received the official Convention endorsement after receiving greater than 50 percent of the delegate vote.

Though the Convention has passed, our work does not end here. We encourage everyone to get involved, continue organizing and mobilizing to push our party along into a brighter future. Stay engaged and stay determined.

Thank you once more for all the time everyone put in to make this weekend a success.

Steve Kerrigan
Chair, Massachusetts Democratic Party

IMPORTANT UPDATE TO MAY DAY PLANS!!!

Another group organized an official event in North Oxford at 3:00 today. Given logistical challenges of doing a bridge standout, we’ve decided to join that event. It’s up by Walmart and Cumberland Farms - see link for details:
https://www.mobilize.us/mayday/event/946989/.
Hope to see you there!

Also, apparently there are two events scheduled in Worcester, one at 4:00 in front of City Hall and one at 6:00 on the common behind city hall.

Because when the billionaires break every rule, it’s going to take more than a rally to stop them. **Our Demands for May 1st** - Tax the rich so our families, not their fortunes, come first. - No ICE. No war. No private army serving unchecked federal power. - Expand democracy, not corporate power....

Great No Kings rally today at Oxford Town Hall! About 85 folks attended, and it was very spirited and uplifting. We got lots of supportive honks from passing vehicles, and only a few “unfriendly” reactions. Thanks to all!
