Hot Sauce Festival This Weekend! Now with Candidate Meet & Greets!
On Friday, September 11th and Saturday, September 12th, downtown Oxford and the area around GCDP HQ will be filled with the 2026 NC Hot Sauce Festival. GCDP HQ will be open on Friday night, 6-8PM, and Saturday, 10AM-6PM, and many local candidates will be meeting and talking with voters! Here's a glimpse at the schedule:

Friday Night
6-7:30PM, write-in Independent candidate for County Commissioner District 7, Banici Townsend-Harrison, will be hosting a meet & greet. Come say hi and check out the downtown music that kicks off the Hot Sauce Festival!

Saturday
10AM, HQ opens, come say hi, get GCDP, NCDP, and candidate swag!

11AM-1PM, Sheriff Robert Fountain meet & greet

12-2PM, Free hot dogs & hamburgers @ HQ

1-3PM, Tonya Sneed for County Commissioner District 2 meet & greet

1-3PM, Comm. Phylicia Barker (Stovall) meet & greet

2-4PM, LaHoma Smith Romocki for County Commissioner District 6 meet & greet

3-5PM, Judge Toby Hampson for Court of Appeals meet &

4-5:30PM, Sen. Haseeb Fatmi meet & greet

4-6PM, Paul Barringer for NC-13 meet & greet

What a great evening for the Granville County Dems. We got to hear from Sen. Haseeb Fatmi, Rep, Bryan Cohn and Sheriff Robert Fountain as well as Lahoma Romocki for county commissioner district 6. It was so great to hear their updates and vision for Granville County!

Also great turnout for people signing up for canvassing, phone banks, poll greeter, poll monitors. You name it we have you covered. Also there are several movements across the county to get souls to the polls. Stay tuned!
