Please join us in welcoming Marko Pavlovic, Ed.D., to the Ole Miss School of Education as an Assistant Professor of Special Education!
Dr. Pavlovic’s work explores the connection between dyslexia, movement, and inclusion, with a focus on how physical activity can support learning and development for students with disabilities. His career has included roles as a classroom teacher, adapted PE teacher, university professor, researcher, and adaptive fitness practitioner, giving him a unique perspective that connects research with the real-world experiences of students and families.
Originally born and raised in Serbia, Dr. Pavlovic came to the United States on a soccer scholarship and earned his B.S. and M.A. from Union University in Jackson, Tennessee. He later earned his doctorate from the University of Memphis and spent nine years working with children with dyslexia, ADHD, and mild autism. Before joining Ole Miss, he taught at Union University and Montana State University-Northern.
Outside of the classroom, Dr. Pavlovic enjoys reading, traveling, sports, and spending time with his wife and their three young children.
