City of Oxford Recycling Join us in recycling for Oxford! Lets all work together to keep Oxford/Lafayette County Beautiful.

The City of Oxford accepts recycled goods at the drop location on Molly Barr Road. We also have curbside pick up for residents living in the city limits. You may sign up on our website at http://oxfordms.net/curbside-recycling-signup.

Reminder that SHRED DAY is THIS SATURDAY!
10 AM - 2 PM in the National Guard Parking Lot

There is no limit to how much you can bring, and you can leave paper clips and staples on. This event is FREE and open to City of Oxford and Lafayette county residents and businesses.

It’s that time of year again! HHWD and Shred Day are on the horizon! ♻️ 💚

Household Hazardous Waste Day: Saturday, March 14th, 2026. (8am-3pm) at Lafayette County Arena on Buddy East Parkway.

This is an opportunity for residents in Itawamba, Monroe, Calhoun, Lafayette and Union County to safely dispose of hazardous materials. List of what is accepted is attached.

SHRED DAY: Saturday, April 11th, 2026 from 10am-2pm, at the National guard parking lot, in partnership with FNB Oxford, bring papers for free on-site shredding.

In observance of Presidents’ day, please be aware our offices will be closed Monday, February 16th, 2026. All garbage and recycling routes will remain the same.

We are currently off of our regular rubbish schedules due to storm response, but we are collecting storm debris daily.

Please be aware that Monday’s curbside recycling route will be picked up tomorrow (Tuesday, February 3rd). ♻️ ♻️ ♻️

All other curbside recycling routes will be collected as normal!

Residential Garbage and Recycling Service will resume Monday, February 2nd

Place overflow-extra bagged trash 3 feet from your can. 2 different trucks will collect garbage.
•The Automated Side Load (one arm truck-one person operator) truck will collect what is in the City of Oxford issued can.
•A Rear Loader Garbage truck will collect the extra garbage bags.
Note-The trucks will not be operating at the same time – know that we will come back to get the cart or extra bags.

Due to extremely dangerous road conditions, City of Oxford Environmental Services WILL NOT run tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27th. With temperatures barely getting above freezing for the next couple of days, we will keep you updated on City of Oxford Environmental Services operations day to day. Please help us get our community back up and running by STAYING OFF THE ROAD
