A great turn out for this 911 Remembrance Stair Climb. We even had one of our City council members (Laura McCanless) come out and support the cause. We appreciate the invite from the Oxford College of Emory University to join with them on this event.

We are looking forward to this event tomorrow evening starting at 5pm. The goal is to climb as many stairs as you can that would honor the fallen on Sept. 11, 2001. We would love to see you at Seney Hall at Oxford College of Emory University.

The Oxford Police Department will partner with Emory College in the 911 Memorial Stair Climb as we draw closer to the September 11 remembrance. This event will be held on the campus here in Oxford. This is a way we can honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice and those who answered the call without hesitation. We remember the lives lost, the families who continue to carry their memories, and the enduring spirit of service that emerged from tragedy. We would love to see you "Join the Climb" and/or Volunteer.

The Oxford Police Department extends our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and fellow officers of Warm Springs Police where
Officer Chris Fisher tragically lost his life in the line of duty.
Officer Fisher made the ultimate sacrifice while serving and protecting his community.
Our prayers go out to his family, friends and fellow officers and may Officer Fisher’s courage, service, and sacrifice be forever remembered.💙

Just a reminder that the Oxford College students have started another semester and are back in class here in Oxford... be mindful of the crosswalk that is on HWY 81 (Emory St) between Moore St and Pierce St...Remember that the speed limit is 35mph!!!

🎃 October 24 – Annual Trunk-or-Treat across from City Hall
This community favorite is always a wonderful opportunity to interact with local children and families while enjoying a safe and festive Halloween celebration.

Taking time out of her busy schedule, Representative Dr. Jasmine Clark, House District 108, visited our awesome city with Mayor Eady. I truly think she was caught off guard with the beauty and serenity of our community. There is no other place like the CITY OF OXFORD!!!!
