We are excited to welcome Kim Smith to Oxford City Schools as our new Assistant Chief School Financial Officer!

Smith brings a strong background in school finance and payroll administration. A graduate of the University of Florida with a bachelor's degree in Economics, she began her career with St. Clair County Schools, where she served as a school bookkeeper before advancing into payroll administration. In 2022, she joined Hoover City Schools as Payroll Director, gaining extensive experience in payroll management and district financial operations.

Throughout her career, Smith has been committed to supporting the financial functions that help schools serve students and communities effectively. She is excited to join Oxford City Schools and looks forward to contributing her knowledge, experience, and passion for public education to the district.

"I'm excited to welcome Kim to Oxford City Schools," said Chief School Financial Officer Brandi Bishop. "From the moment I met her, it was clear that she brings not only strong experience and knowledge, but also a genuine heart for serving students and schools. I know she will be a great addition to our team, and I look forward to working alongside her."

Smith said she is honored to have the opportunity to serve the students, staff, and families of the Oxford community and is eager to support the district's continued success.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Jason, and their two daughters, Zoey and Ruth. In her free time, she enjoys reading, being outdoors, serving at her church, and traveling with her family whenever possible.
