The osprey are back and they seem to be happy to have a new platform! They are rebuilding their nest-see the difference from 7 days ago. But it also looks as if they've been on the camera and repositioned it again.

The live osprey cam will be turned off in the next day or so as the birds have mostly likely started their winter migration to South or Central America. It was another successful season and we look forward to their return in the Spring.

Thanks to the Oxford DPW for building a new heavy-duty platform to hold the osprey nest and the Oxford Fire Department for helping to get it in place. Sticks from the fallen nest were salvaged and placed on the platform for the osprey to build up again. We'll keep an eye on the camera, if any of the young birds are still around they just might stop by.

Not much left to the nest but they're still coming to it to eat and rest. The adults have done a good job teaching the young ones to catch fish.

Empty nest. Fledglings are out exploring and learning from mom & dad. They'll be back shortly!
