🥧🍎 Preserve the taste of harvest season all year long! Canning pie fillings is a delicious way to use up extra fruit and have homemade desserts ready when you need them. Try apple, blueberry, cherry, peach, green tomato, or mincemeat pie fillings for safe, shelf-stable convenience. ✅

💡 Important tip: Use Clear Jel® (not Instant Clear Jel®) for the best texture and safe results, and don't reduce the lemon juice called for in tested recipes.

🫙One quart makes a full pie, while pints are perfect for toppings and pastries! 🫐🍒🍑

Preserving Apples?
Apples are one of the most versatile fruits - they can be eaten fresh, frozen, canned, dried, or turned into pies or apple sauce.
Apples contain vitamin C, potassium, and dietary fiber.
One medium apple contains about 95 calories and 3 apples will weigh about 1 pound.
To decide which variety of apples will provide the best results for your salad, pie, or other apple recipes - check out the Selecting, Storing, and Serving Ohio Apples Fact Sheet ohioline.osu.edu/factsheet/HYG-5507
