We pause today to remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. Memorial Day is more than the beginning of summer. It is a solemn reminder that the freedoms we enjoy as Americans were secured through extraordinary sacrifice.

We give honor to those who never came home, the families who carry their memory, and the enduring values of duty, courage, faith, and country that define the American spirit.

May we never take their sacrifice for granted.

The Daviess County Clerk’s Office wants to inform the public that Owensboro Municipal Utilities (OMU) has alerted officials of possible major power issues affecting voting operations at Owensboro Christian Church.

Voters are encouraged to avoid this location if possible and utilize one of the other 13 voting locations throughout the county to help prevent delays.
