Today is April Fools Day and what I’m about to say is no joke. I walked in to work this morning and was met by a Deputy Clerk who works as one of the jury administrators. She had just taken a call from a gentleman who unfortunately had been scammed for FIFTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS. This is infuriating to me.

We WILL NEVER call you demanding that you pay money for missing jury duty, unpaid fines, or traffic ticket.

Please watch and share this video that was put out by the Kentucky Courts to help bring attention to these scams!

A new wave of text scams has been reported that impersonate the Transportation Cabinet’s driver licensing offices and Office of Highway Safety. If you receive one of these texts, do NOT click on the link! 🚨

It was not sent by KYTC, as we do not collect traffic ticket fees. If you’ve provided any personal information, contact your bank immediately.

The Office of the Daviess County Circuit Clerk, Jennifer Besecker and the Daviess County Judicial Center is operating on a 2 hour delay today, January 30th and will open at 10:00. The building WILL NOT open until 10:00.

The Office of the Daviess County Circuit Clerk, Jennifer Besecker and the Daviess County Judicial Center will be operating on normal hours, Thursday January 29th. The building will open at 8:00 AM and close at 4:00 PM!

We are still moving dockets and getting judges orders processed with new court dates. My staff is working diligently to get this information out to all parties! Please continue to be patient and kind during this time!

The Office of the Daviess County Circuit Clerk, Jennifer Besecker and the Daviess County Judicial Center will be running on a two hour delay tomorrow, Wednesday, January 28th. The building will open at 10:00 AM and all courts will be pushed back to that start time.

The Office of the Daviess County Circuit Clerk, Jennifer Besecker and the Daviess County Judicial Center will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27th due to the weather and dangerous road conditions.

All court scheduled for tomorrow will be rescheduled and court notices will be sent out when we return to work. You may also check court dates on kycourts.gov!

EDITED TO ADD:

The Daviess County Master Commissioner sales that were scheduled for tomorrow have been cancelled per Master Commissioner Matthew Tierney.

The Office of the Daviess County Circuit Clerk, Jennifer Besecker and the Daviess County Judicial Center will be closed on Monday, January 26th, 2026 due to the weather. This means ALL SCHEDULED COURT is CANCELLED.

Court notices will be mailed out with new court dates and times when we return to work. You can always check court dates on kycourts.gov!

The Office of the Daviess County Circuit Clerk, Jennifer Besecker and Daviess County Judical Building is closed today, Wednesday, January 21st due to inclement weather.

The jury orientation that was scheduled for today at 1:30 has been canceled and reset to Thursday, January 29 at 1:30.
