We celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and honor the rich cultures, traditions, and contributions that strengthen our communities. The Salvation Army is grateful for the families, volunteers, and leaders whose heritage brings resilience, joy, and hope to our mission.

Monday through Saturday, we're in the community — serving meals, stocking food pantries, walking alongside families through case management, and doing the behind-the-scenes work that keeps hope alive.

On Sundays, we gather to worship.

Same mission, every day of the week.

Your support fuels both — the hands that serve and the hearts that are renewed. Give today and help us keep showing up for our community, all week long.

September 11, 2001. Nearly 3,000 lives lost — mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, neighbors, friends.

In the days that followed, first responders ran toward danger and strangers helped strangers. Volunteers and organizations, including our own teams, quietly served alongside so many others.

25 years later, we remember every life lost, and honor the courage and unity that followed.

🕯️ Never forget.

After losing her son George, a New York City firefighter, on September 11, Rosemary Cain chose to volunteer at Ground Zero with The Salvation Army, serving the first responders working around the clock.

For Rosemary, being there was personal. She understood the loss these people and their families were facing, and she wanted to do what she could to care for them.

In the aftermath of tragedy, people need one another to begin rebuilding. Find your way to help people rebuild through volunteering at SalvationArmyVolunteer.org.

At Ground Zero after 9/11, search-and-rescue dogs’ paws couldn’t handle the debris. Then a shipment of socks arrived.

Ken Tregellas remembers putting five pairs on each paw so the dogs could keep working, changing their socks when they came back from the debris and sending them out again.

It was a powerful reminder that when people come together to help, there is a place for everyone to make a difference. Find your way to serve at SalvationArmyVolunteer.org.
