A Daviess Circuit judge has ruled to block two rulings from a lower court judge in a case involving an alleged sexual assault involving a juvenile.

Veteran law enforcement officer Mike Pearre Sr. has been hired as the first-ever detective for the Daviess County Attorney’s Office, a move officials say will strengthen cooperation between prosecutors and local law enforcement while improving efficiency in handling criminal cases.

Please join us in congratulating Nick Hines on his promotion from Corporal to Sergeant as well as Cameron Edwards on his promotion to Corporal. Both Sgt Hines and CPL Edwards will be assigned to 2nd Platoon as the squad supervisors. BEWARE OF SCAM -

We have been advised that citizens are getting calls from individuals purporting to be in government and telling the persons that a warrant exists for them and they must pay money $$$ in order for the warrant to go away. These scammers may use real judge’s names and may even use real case numbers. This is a SCAM. These types of scams are getting more sophisticated so please beware. Please pass this along.

Dee McGehee has been at the County Attorney Office for 35 years…! She has served under 3 different County Attorneys since that time. Her loyalty, commitment, and knowledge is unmatched. She retired yesterday. We Thank You Dee for your 35 years of service to this Office and to Daviess County! Your retirement is much deserved!
