Shares, Likes, and Follows by any City of Owensboro social media accounts are not endorsements. Users who submit content to any official
City of Owensboro social media platform acknowledge that they have read, understand, and agree to the City’s terms and conditions of such use. The City of Owensboro prohibits:
1. Content that shares obscene, sexual, or pornographic content
2. Content that promotes discrimination based on race, age, religion, or gender
3. Content that infringes upon legal ownership rights
4. Threats or any form of content that compromises the safety or security of the public or public systems, or employees of the City
5. Conduct that violates any federal, state, or local laws, or promotes illegal activities
7. The promotion of commercial activities, including advertisements
8. Spam, Links, and Malware/Viruses
9. Content that is not topically related to the posting being commented upon
By engaging with the City's social media platforms, users acknowledge and agree to abide by these guidelines. The City of Owensboro retains the discretion to moderate, remove, or take appropriate action against content that violates these guidelines. All posts and comments made on the City of Owensboro social media sites are subject to the Kentucky Public Records Act (KRS 171.420-171.740)
