Throughout the summer, we are celebrating our Owatonna High School students who participated in Armed Services & Workforce Signing Day.

We are grateful to our local businesses, employers, and community partners for investing time, resources, and expertise in building strong pathways from school to career and service.

Congratulations to Savannah DeMars, who is entering the Army National Guard!

The Owatonna Area Chamber of Commerce recently joined business leaders from across Minnesota for the annual Washington, D.C. Fly-In, advocating for policies that support local businesses and foster economic growth.

Representing Owatonna were Jose Herrera of Plaza Morena Owatonna and Brad Meier, Chamber President, who met with members of Minnesota’s Congressional delegation and other national policymakers to share the priorities and challenges facing our local business community.

During the trip, participants also visited the Daikin Sustainability & Innovation Center, an interactive showcase highlighting cutting-edge technologies and sustainable solutions. The visit was especially meaningful for Owatonna, which is home to a major Daikin Applied manufacturing facility and plays an important role in the company’s U.S. operations.

The Fly-In brings together 50 Minnesota business leaders each year for exclusive discussions with elected officials, U.S. Chamber policy experts, and federal agency representatives on issues impacting businesses at the local, state, and national levels.

We are proud to serve as the nonpartisan voice of business for the Owatonna area, ensuring our local business community has a seat at the table where important decisions are made.
