Please help us give a warm welcome to a new staff member in the district! 👋
Name: Brayann Garcia
Role: Paraprofessional BI
Building: Lincoln Elementary
Hometown: Blooming Prairie, MN
What information would you like to share about yourself?: "I’ve worked in healthcare for nine years, and helping others has always been a big part of who I am. I’m a proud mom of four, and my family means everything to me. I’m also one of the creators of Owatonna Curb Alert 2, which has given me another way to connect with and help people in my community.
I’m excited to be joining Owatonna Public Schools as a Paraprofessional Behavioral Interventionist. Although I haven’t started yet, I’m really looking forward to learning, building meaningful relationships with students, and supporting them in reaching their goals. I’m excited to bring my experience helping others, my patience, and my positive attitude into this new role.
I’m a very humble, positive person who believes in treating others with kindness and respect. I try to always walk around with a smile and never make someone feel bad about themselves. Outside of work, I enjoy going to the gym, cooking, baking, and learning new things. And, of course, my pink hair is a fun reflection of my personality—I love being myself and bringing a little positivity wherever I go!
What excites you most about working for Owatonna Public Schools?: What excites me most about working for Owatonna Public Schools is the opportunity to make a positive difference in students’ lives every day. I enjoy building relationships with children, helping them feel supported and understood, and celebrating their growth. I’m especially excited to be part of a team that values students’ individual needs and works together to help every child succeed.
Welcome to the team, Brayann! 💙
