In observance of Juneteenth, the United Way of Steele County office will be closed on Friday, June 19. Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and serves as a time to reaffirm our commitment to building a stronger, more equitable community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Our office will reopen with regular business hours on Monday, June 22.

✨ "What a wonderful fun-filled evening! We are incredibly grateful to all volunteers, donors, sponsors, and guests who made the 2026 Power of the Purse such a success. Annie Harman's heartfelt message said it best: our programs are changing lives for children across Steele County. I feel truly blessed to be part of Women United and its work supporting early childhood literacy and development." ✨ said event Co-Chair, Debbie Ensley.

We are so grateful to everyone who supported and attended our 13th Annual Power of the Purse event last night at the Owatonna Country Club. Because of you, we were able to come together to celebrate, connect, and continue making a meaningful impact in our community. Your support is what makes this event so powerful year after year!

We will be sharing final numbers later this week, but early indications show that we have met - or exceeded - our fundraising goal. 🎉

Thank you again for being part of such an inspiring night! 💜
