For tomorrow (6/12), there is a Slight risk of severe weather across parts of the Upper Midwest. Storms during the late afternoon and early evening will be capable of very large (2+ in.) hail, a few tornadoes, and damaging winds.

[4:55 AM 6/9/24] Scattered showers and thunderstorm are ongoing this morning and will remain possible through the day as a cold front moves slowly southward across the region. A few strong to severe storms are possible mainly this afternoon through mid evening. Temperatures will be noticeably cooler once the cold front passes with a wide range in high temperatures expected today across eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Temperatures remain near or slightly below normal through mid week.

NWS has upgraded the chance of Tornadoes to Limited in the past hour.

Updated Severe outlook now has parts of eastern Oklahoma in an enhanced risk for severe storms. Time frame remains mainly this evening and into the overnight hours. Damaging wind is the primary threat, with isolated gusts between 70-80 mph possible.

A complex of storms is expected to continue throughout the area on Monday morning, bringing with it a low chance of severe weather. The primary threat posed by these storms will be flooding. Remember to Turn Around Don't Drown.

A complex of storms may move into the area late tonight bringing a low chance of severe weather to parts of northeast Oklahoma.

An unsettled weather patter will continue into next week as a series of disturbances move across the region from the northwest. Currently, the greatest risk for severe weather with these storm complexes will be Monday and Tuesday with Tuesday carrying the higher likelihood of widespread severe weather. Damaging wind gusts and hail will be the most likely hazards.
