🌟 BUSINESS HIGHLIGHT OF THE MONTH🌟
Meet Moapa Valley Businesses – Week 3 of highlighting Brooke's Good Deeds
Did you know they are more than just a food pantry? Shanna McPheters tells us all about their much needed community adult grief counseling.
"Every day, we have the privilege of honoring our sweet Brooke's memory through service to others. Her legacy lives on in every food item provided, every ride given, every family supported, and every act of kindness shared.
Our organization has also become a place where others feel welcome to talk about their own losses and grief, knowing they will be met with compassion, understanding, and support. It means more to us than words can express to serve our community in this way. Helping our neighbors while honoring Brooke's life is both our greatest purpose and our greatest privilege.
Here is more information on the adult grief group offered at Brooke’s Good Deeds:
Every 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month from 6:00-7:00 p.m.
Located at Brooke’s Deeds 3475 N. Moapa Valley Blvd, Logandale
Free of charge, For more information call Kimberley Witter
(702) 907-7305.
We have previously partnered with Mack Lyon Middle School to offer onsite weekly grief support group meetings Jan-May of the school year for up to 15 participants. It is a safe place to share about their loved ones while gaining access to tools and understanding others may be facing similar situations. We have been holding it for the past three years, have had great success and hope to continue in 2027!
We also have a library of grief resources available onsite at Brooke’s Good Deeds and have held candlelight vigils in the past to honor loved ones that have passed."
