On this Memorial Day, your Firefighters/Paramedics of the Community Fire Protection District take time to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave everything for our country.

Today is more than a long weekend it’s a day to reflect on the sacrifice, courage, and selflessness of those who never made it home. It’s because of them, we have the freedoms we often take for granted.

We also hold close the families who carry the weight of that sacrifice every single day. Their loved one’s service and legacy will never be forgotten.

Today, we remember. We honor. We are forever grateful. 🇺🇸

Had a great time hanging out with the kids at Gingerbread House Learning Center today! 🚒

Engine 3825 stopped by to talk about fire safety, show off some equipment, and answer lots of awesome questions. Thanks for having us out and making us feel so welcome.

Always a good day when we get to teach kids that firefighters are their friends. 👨‍🚒🔥

The men and women of The Community Fire Protection District wanted to give a huge thank you to the STL First Responder Canteen for their assistance on a recent incident over the weekend. Their volunteers showed up to support our crews and surrounding agencies with snacks, drinks, and much appreciated support during a long operation.

We are grateful for organizations like the canteen that continue to take care of first responders behind the scenes so we can continue serving our community. Thank you for everything you do for our Firefighter/Paramedics, and all emergency personnel across the area they serve.

Over the 48-hour period of April 26–27, “A”crew stayed exceptionally busy, responding to 131 calls for service. The majority of these incidents were weather related as storms moved through our area.

Call totals by apparatus:
• 3814 – 23 calls
• 3834 – 22 calls
• 3825 – 21 calls
• 3827 – 18 calls
• 3817 – 17 calls
• 3802 – 16 calls
• 3837 – 14 calls

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the dispatchers at Central County Emergency 911 for their outstanding work during the severe weather. Their team answered an incredible 747 calls during this same period.

We also want to thank our mutual aid partners for their assistance and support throughout the storms. Strong partnerships like these help us continue providing the highest level of service to our community, no matter the conditions.

⚠️ Severe Weather Alert for Monday, April 27 ⚠️

The potential exists for strong to severe thunderstorms across our area tomorrow. Hazards may include damaging winds, large hail, heavy rainfall, and the possibility of tornadoes.

Now is the time to prepare:
• Make sure you have multiple ways to receive weather alerts.
• Review your severe weather safety plan with your family.
• Identify the safest place in your home to take shelter if warnings are issued.
• Secure any outdoor furniture or loose items.

Your Firefighter/Paramedics will be closely monitoring the forecast and stands ready to respond if needed. We encourage everyone to stay weather aware and follow trusted sources, including the National Weather Service, for the latest updates.

The Community Fire Protection District sends our heartfelt condolences to the Wentzville Fire Protection District, along with the family and loved ones of Captain Tommy Shine.

We recognize and honor the commitment he made to serving his community and the fire service. His impact will be felt far beyond his years of service.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Wentzville shop and the Shine family and all those grieving this loss. We stand beside our fellow firefighters during this time.

The crews from 3825 and 3827 had a great time visiting Iveland Elementary School for their career fair!

Our Firefighter/Paramedics spent time with the students, giving them a hands on look at some of the equipment we use on emergency calls and answering questions about the job. We always enjoy opportunities like this to connect with the community and help inspire the next generation.

Thank you to the staff and students at Iveland Elementary for the invitation, we had a blast!
