On Tuesday, June 23, 2026, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office issued charges against Donte White, age 21, of Glasgow Village, Missouri:
• Assault 1st Degree or Attempt – Class B Felony
• Armed Criminal Action – Class U Felony
• Unlawful Use of a Weapon – Shooting At/From a Motor Vehicle at a Person, Motor Vehicle, or Building – Class B Felony
Bond was set at $250,000.
At approximately 6:24 p.m. on Monday, June 22, 2026, officers from the Overland Police Department responded to the 10000 block of Northfield for a report of shots fired, with the suspect reportedly fleeing the scene.
Upon arrival, officers contacted the victim, who stated that the suspect, whom he knew, had shot at him. Fortunately, the victim was not struck by gunfire.
Following an extensive search and with the assistance of numerous residents in the area, officers located White and took him into custody without incident. A firearm was recovered near the location where White was apprehended with the assistance of one of Overland PD's K-9 teams.
The Overland Police Department would like to thank the residents who assisted officers by providing valuable information and evidence that helped bring this incident to a safe resolution.
