This week we celebrate our 2026 Leadership Overland Park class as they complete their program and graduate in a ceremony and reception this Thursday.

Members of the class presented a check for $26,389.99 to Safehome to support its mission to provide safety and hope to those facing partner abuse. Class members raised the funding by hosting a pickleball tournament as their class project. Our hats off to the class for their dedication and hard work in pulling off such a successful fundraiser!
Congratulations to the members of this year’s class! We look forward to their continued engagement in the community and the new leadership roles they assume in the future.

We are pleased to welcome our summer intern, Aishu Balaganesh, who will be a junior at Blue Valley West High School.
We're thrilled to have Aishu join our team this summer and look forward to supporting her career knowledge and development. She will work on a variety of projects related to workforce, economic development and the Chamber’s Opportunity NOW initiative. She has aspirations of opening her own business.
Aishu is participating in the ProX summer intern program, which places high school students at local companies for a five-week experience.

Our Wednesday Wake-up host this month - Panasonic Connect - was aptly named for our monthly networking coffee in which dozens of our members had the chance to connect and learn more about valuable B2B services in our community.

The community really showed up to celebrate the grand opening of Clock Tower Landing and the new home of the Overland Park Farmers Market!
In its new home, the market will operate its first official year-round season, taking advantage of heated interior spaces and more amenities. The new indoor/outdoor spaces provide an ideal place for the community to gather for watch parties, concerts and other public events in Downtown Overland Park.

Our Leadership Overland Park (LOP) class studied quality of life in its most recent session.
Presentations by community leaders focused on the Chamber’s community initiatives, Downtown Overland Park revitalization and the Overland Park Farmers Market, parks and recreation services, public art programming and Johnson County Library - KS services. They also had the chance to explore the Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens and Downtown Overland Park.
