We, the Members of the Libertarian Party of Kansas, believe in the people of Kansas. We hold that all adults are capable of deciding what is best for themselves, their families, and their communities. We recognize that all individuals have the right to exercise sole dominion over their own lives, and have the right to live in whatever manner they choose, so long as they do not forcibly interfere with the equal right of others to live in whatever manner they choose.

The Libertarian Party formally condemns the escalating campaign of intimidation by Republican operatives targeting ballot-qualified Iowa candidates.

Our volunteers gathered a record number of signatures to earn a spot on the 2026 ballot. Instead of a fair debate, the establishment responded with a barrage of aggressive tactics:

• Threats of "legal warfare" and bogus FEC complaints.

• Under-the-table inducements and promises of political access to force candidates to drop out.

• Frivolous formal challenges targeting candidate names rather than actual voter intent.

The national party is backing our Iowa team to the hilt. We will use all available methods and resources to protect voter choice.
