The Members of the Otter Lake Fire Department sends their deepest condolences to the Langworthy Family and Old Forge Fire Department as they mourn the loss of their Father, Grandfather and Brother. RIP Dave we have it from here!👨🚒🚒🙏
It is with profound sadness that the Old Forge Fire Department announces the passing of Lieutenant Dave Langworthy #57, who made his last call on June 1, 2026.
Dave joined our department on January 7, 1977 and served with dedication and distinction for 49 years as a Life and Active Member. He exemplified the dedication and brotherhood that defines this department.
Dave was more than a firefighter — he a recruiter, a teacher, a mentor, and his absence will be felt deeply by every member of this department and by the community he gave so much to protect.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 12th from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Niccolls Church in Old Forge, NY. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 13th at 11:00 AM, also at Niccolls Church.
The department asks that you keep Dave's family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
