This is our 14th year of working to accomplish our mission of reducing/eliminating hunger and food insecurity! There are children in our community whose families rely on free or reduced-price meals at school during the week, leaving them vulnerable to hunger when school is out of session. We strive to bridge that gap by providing food for two breakfast items, two lunch items, two dinner items, two fruits, and two snacks that will help the kiddos and their families make it through the weekends. Our weekend meals program is offered on an opt-out basis to Glandorf Elementary School, Ottawa Elementary, the Putnam County Educational Service Center's Bridge program, and Putnam County Head Start. We also offer weekend meals to Sts. Peter and Paul School, Ottawa-Glandorf High School, and Miller City - New Cleveland School District.
We are truly humbled that many in our community recognize and choose to support our most vulnerable members of our society: our children. When our kids don't have to worry about where their next meal is coming from, they can simply focus on learning, growing, and building a bright future for our community!
