We have canceled the endangered persons advisory that was issued on behalf of the Yates Center Police Department. Tava Glover was located safe in Oklahoma, and is now with family. Thank you for your assistance.

The KBI has issued an endangered persons advisory, on behalf of the Yates Center Police Department, for a missing Yates Center woman.

The whereabouts of 44-year-old Tava Glover are unknown, and the public’s assistance is requested to help locate her.

Glover last made contact with her family on Tuesday, Aug. 4, when she was expected to be driving home to Yates Center from Kansas City. She is believed to be driving a 2016 white Lincoln MKZ bearing Kansas tag 9261AGM.

Tava is a white female who is approximately 5 foot 4 inches tall and weighs around 174 pounds. She has light brown hair and hazel eyes. Authorities believe she may have traveled in Pittsburg, Kansas, Miami, Oklahoma, and Ottawa, Kansas since Tuesday.

Tava has been diagnosed with a serious medical condition and is without necessary medication.

If you see Tava Glover, or her vehicle, call 911 immediately. If you have other information about her whereabouts, please call the Yates Center Police Department at 620-625-8640.

The “missed jury duty” scam is happening a lot right now!

We will not call you requesting money for missed jury duty or any type of warrant. If it feels like a scam, it is. Don’t hesitate to call us to confirm prior to sending any of your hard earned funds to them!

It’s common for them to say they are local law enforcement and you will be arrested if you don’t pay. Again, WE WILL NOT REQUEST MONEY OVER THE PHONE TO CLEAR AN ARREST WARRANT OF ANY TYPE.
