⚠️ Storm Damage Update⚠️

There are multiple reports of large trees down and blocking roadways in the area between 1st Street and 7th Street, and between Beech Street and Cherry Street. There are also several downed power lines in the area and multiple traffic signals are currently out.

Utility and public works crews are actively working to clear debris and restore access. Please use caution when traveling and avoid the area if possible.

The NWS has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Ottawa and Franklin County until 12:45 am. A line of storms is approaching from the west and has caused wind damage in other communities. Prepare now for high winds, possible hail and heavy rain potential.

Saturday is a busy day at Legacy Square. Parking is restricted starting early Saturday morning for Treasures in Ottawa all day and then closed that evening for a private event. Please remove all vehicles prior to 6 a.m. Saturday morning. There is plenty of nearby parking on side streets, Main Street and City Lots.
