The East Central Kansas Area Agency on Aging will serve as the single, highly accessible, point of entry for older Kansans living in Anderson, Coffey, Franklin, Linn, Miami and Osage Counties, that are seeking help in maintaining their health, independence and dignity. In pursuit of healthy lifestyles and dignified self-sufficiency for the aging population, the East Central Kansas Area Agency on Aging will corrdinate and provide varied programs and services, paid by federal, state, and local dollars, as well as client contributions and co-pays, and other grant/contract sources.

TODAY is the last day to sign up for our Birthday Meal!

Are you 60+ with a birthday in September? Or do you ENJOY a celebration with Cake and Ice cream? If so, COME JOIN US on Wed. Sep. 16th, at 11:30 at the ECKAAA Central Kitchen at 1538 Industrial Ave., in Ottawa.

We are celebrating birthdays with a delicious meal of Chicken Fried Chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, dinner rolls, cake and ice cream! This meal is limited and we have just 20 seats left.

Call 785-242-7200 to RSVP by 4:30pm on Tuesday Sep. 15th. We ask for a $4 donation for each meal.

Have you heard of the ECKAAA's Cup of Comfort Caregiver Support Group? If you are caring for an aging loved one, this group is for you.

Caring for a loved one is one of the most rewarding - and exhausting - things you can do. You deserve a place to be heard in a welcoming space to relax, share experiences, and connect with others who understand the challenges of caregiving.

Our Cup of Comfort Caregiver Support Group meets in the following counties:
Franklin County - 2nd Tuesday of each month from 1-2:30 pm
Miami County - 3rd Tuesday of each month from 9:30-11am
Osage County - 4th Tuesday of each month from 9:30-11am
Coffee County - 1st Friday of each month 9:30-11 am
Anderson County - 3rd Friday of each month from 10-11:30 am

Come connect with others and enjoy a warm cup of coffee on us. You pour so much into caring for others. This one's for you. 💜
