OFFICER WELLNESS SEMINAR
As May marked Mental Health Awareness Month, our department took the opportunity to invest in one of our most valuable resources…
OUR OFFICERS.
The Town of Mount Hope Police Department hosted a Wellness Seminar for our officers and officers from neighboring agencies, providing an opportunity to learn together and strengthen our partnerships that help keep our communities safe.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Peer Support Coordinatior Phil “Sal” Salinardi from the Orange County First Responder Peer Support Program, who shared valuable information on how officers can reach out to him for support when needed. We also thank our guest speakers, Sgt. Aaron Lohman and Det. Dina Campbell from the NYPD Peer Support Unit, for sharing their experiences and valuable perspectives. Their presentations provided meaningful information and practical tools to help support the physical and mental wellness of our officers.
Investing in the well-being of those who serve our community is an important part of maintaining a healthy, professional, and effective police department.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this seminar a success and to our officers for their commitment to both personal growth and public service.
