It was great to see so many kids this morning behind the Otis Town Hall for the Obstacle Challenge. It was great to see everyone having so much fun with the obstacles, getting their face (or arms) painted, and enjoying a treat at the end from Chill Zone Snow Cone Factory. The Recreation Committee would like to thank all the volunteers who made this event the success that it was. Your help with set up, during the event, break down, and building us a new event (Jim Ebitz) was so much appreciated!!

Awesome work today!! We filled the dump truck 👍🏻 The Algerie Road team had the best effort with over 8 bags collected!!!!
People also cleaned up on Werden Rd, West Center Road, Judd Rd and Pinnacle Road, Rte 23 and Gibbs Road, Reservoir Road, Pease Road, Old Blandford Road, Rainbow Road and Pine Road and probably a lot more we didn’t hear about!
Top fun finds today….
1. A destroyed $20 bill
2. A pie plate
3. A bicycle tire tube
4. A bag full of empty wine bottles
5. A few hub caps
Thank you to everyone who participated! Thank you to the KNOX TRAIL INN for supporting this event and allowing us to use their parking lot. And a special thank you to Derek and his team for making this happen!
There’s still time to join the effort and keep your neighborhoods clean 🙂 (but those flies are coming quick!)

*Bags and gloves will be available at the East Otis Fire Station, Otis Town Hall, and Otis Highway Department.
*Drop your bags and debris in the dump truck parked in the Knox Trail Inn parking lot. (Stop and have a drink and snack while you’re there!)
*Text Larry and Terry Gould 413-207-4028 for help getting your bags to the Knox.
