Happy Father's Day from the Oswego Police Department!

Today, we celebrate all the fathers and father figures who make a positive impact in the lives of their families and our community.

These photos from last year's PrairieFest Parade are a reminder that the role of a father extends far beyond a single day. Whether at home, at work, or serving the community, fathers help lead by example through their dedication, support, and care.

We are grateful for all the dads who help make our community a great place to live, work, and raise a family.

We wish everyone a safe and happy Father's Day. 💙

**UPDATE** We appreciate everyone’s help in trying to locate the owner. The owner could not be located and he was transported to Kendall County Animal Control.

This fella was found in the 600 block of Manhattan Cir. He’s a light brown and white pit bull with a khaki Carhartt collar. Please share and help this guy find his home. If his owners do not come forward, he will be transported to Kendall County Animal Control.

Think you can dunk a cop?

Starting at Noon today at PrairieFest, our Dunk-a-Cop Dunk Tank returns, with the Chief of Police taking the first plunge opportunity.

For a small donation, you'll get the chance to send an officer into a tank of cold water, all while supporting our Public Safety Cadet Program.

It's all in good fun, supports a great cause, and gives you a rare opportunity to legally throw something at a cop. So stop by and take your best shot!

Oh, and we expect to see a few Oswego Fire Protection District members in line. Don't let us down, friends. 🚒🎯💦
