💧 Conserving water today helps protect Oswego’s future.
Oswego’s current water supply comes from a deep underground aquifer, but according to the Illinois Office of Water Resources, water is being withdrawn nearly twice as fast as it can naturally replenish. As our community prepares to transition to a long-term Lake Michigan water supply through WaterLink, it’s important that we all do our part to use water efficiently.
Please remember current watering restrictions when using sprinklers or automatic watering systems:
🌱 Even-numbered addresses: Water on even calendar dates
🌱 Odd-numbered addresses: Water on odd calendar dates
🌱 Watering hours: 4-9 a.m. and 6-9 p.m.
🌱 Non-addressed properties: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays during approved hours
Hand watering gardens, trees and plants is permitted at any time. Please note that planting sod, grass seed and new landscaping is prohibited during July and August, and certain new landscaping or pool fills may require a free permit through the Village.
Every small step helps conserve this essential resource as we invest in a sustainable water future for generations to come.
