🎊 You have been waiting for it, now it’s here! 🎊 Our newest poster is definitely worthy of the beauty and history of NOAA's Lake Ontario National Marine Sanctuary!

⚓️ Lake Ontario is a historically rich area where the long relationship between human activity and the maritime environment has created meaning and a sense of place. 🌅As the easternmost Great Lake, it is a critical transition point between inland freshwater shipping and global maritime trade. The area is known for its high number of shipwrecks, many of which are accessible by recreational divers. 🤿

About the artwork: Light filters through the clear, cool waters of Lake Ontario, revealing one of the many shipwrecks resting in Lake Ontario National Marine Sanctuary. Scuba divers explore the preserved remnants of a historic wooden vessel as fish move through the structure. Preserved by cold freshwater, the sanctuary’s shipwrecks offer a window into the Great Lakes’ past, with new stories continuing to emerge through exploration.

Celebrate and check out this stunning poster (both sides!) by visiting: https://sanctuaries.noaa.gov/posters/lake-ontario/.
