🦅 ABC has been SWAMPED with wildlife intakes this fall! 🦅

We currently have four juvenile Red-tailed Hawks in care, and each one arrived with a different story:

❤️ Two were found in fields severely emaciated and not yet able to hunt successfully on their own.
🚗 One was hit by a car and suffering from an eye injury.
🩹 One was found stuck between solar panels and tore its leg up trying to get away.

The good news? All four are doing well and making wonderful progress in their recoveries! 🥰

The challenge? They have officially eaten through our entire stockpile of rodents! 😅

Raptors require a tremendous amount of food, and rodents are expensive. Although we maintain our own colony of rats and mice, we cannot produce enough to keep up with several hungry raptors in care at once.

💰 Please consider making a donation today through PayPal or Venmo to help cover the cost of food and medical care. Every gift—large or small—helps provide the nutrition these birds need to grow stronger and return to the wild.

Our raptor patients aren’t the only animals depending on us. We also have several songbirds in care, along with a very special little Saw-whet Owl. 🦉

Saw-whet Owls are one of Michigan’s smallest owl species, and this little one likely suffered a window strike in Rogers City. Thankfully, it is doing well—but, you guessed it… it eats rodents too! 😂

📦 You can also support ABC by shopping our Amazon Wishlist. The supplies you purchase are shipped directly to us and help us care for the animals currently in rehabilitation. Items we especially need include:

🦋 Butterfly enclosures
🌻 Bird seed
🪱 Live mealworms

Whether you donate through PayPal or Venmo or purchase an item from our Amazon Wishlist, your support makes a direct difference. Wildlife rehabilitation is a labor of love, and every animal that comes through our doors depends on the generosity of our community.

Please donate today and help give these patients the best possible chance to return to the wild! ❤️

🦅🦉🐦 Thank you for supporting ABC!

Juvenile hawk needs containment and capture up in Hillman. Message me if you would be willing to go contain and transport. Babies are struggling right now as they are having a hard time learning to hunt. 9895902046
