Would you like your dog to become an official BARK Ranger in Mahaska County?🐕

1. Go to the Links tab on our website to look up Mahaska County parks you would like to visit with your dog. https://www.mahaskaconservation.com/links/
2. Select a park, download and print off a park activity checklist. We also have copies at the Environmental Learning Center.
3. Go to the park to have fun with your dog and complete the activity checklist!
Go back online and save a copy of our digital BARK Ranger badge. Share online that your dog is a Mahaska County BARK Ranger!
4. Bring the activity checklist to the ELC during open hours to receive a BARK Ranger CERTIFICATE for that park. If you bring your dog, we will come outside to help you stamp their paw on the certificate. (Only service dogs are allowed inside). Check our open hours on our website or on Facebook.
5. While you are at the ELC, we sell Mahaska County BARK Ranger dog for $10 each! Proceeds to back to the BARK Ranger program. Please pay in cash or check to Friends of Mahaska County Conservation.
6. Select and another county park and have fun all over again!

🎉 Exciting News from Mahaska County Conservation! 🎉

Please join us in welcoming Ethan Zieglowsky to the Mahaska County Conservation team as our new Park Ranger!

Ethan is a recent graduate of William Penn University and is eager to begin serving the citizens and visitors of Mahaska County. As Park Ranger, Ethan will play an important role in caring for our parks, assisting visitors, protecting our natural resources, and helping ensure our conservation areas remain safe and enjoyable for everyone.

Ethan is excited to get out into the parks, meet community members, and contribute to the outstanding outdoor recreation opportunities that make Mahaska County such a great place to live, work, and visit.

We are thrilled to have Ethan on board and look forward to the positive impact he will make across our county. If you see him out in the parks, be sure to say hello and welcome him to the Mahaska County Conservation family!
