We were thrilled to welcome The Caffeinated Blonde Beverage Truck to our community as part of our National CNA Week celebration!
To show our appreciation for the incredible dedication and compassion of our nursing and resident care team members, each employee received a coupon for a complimentary beverage and a gift bag filled with fun and useful goodies. These amazing caregivers make a difference in the lives of our residents every day, and we loved having the opportunity to recognize all they do.
The beverage truck was also open to all employees and members of the community, offering a delicious variety of specialty drinks and refreshing favorites for everyone to enjoy.
Thank you to our nursing assistants and resident care staff for your hard work, kindness, and commitment to providing exceptional care. And thank you to The Caffeinated Blonde for helping make our National CNA Week celebration extra special!

💙 Wear Blue Day for Men’s Health Month 💙

Today, our community came together to recognize Wear Blue Day in honor of Men’s Health Month! Employees and residents showed their support by wearing their best blue attire and helping raise awareness about the importance of men's health and wellness.

From bright blue shirts to creative accessories, everyone brought their spirit and enthusiasm to the celebration. Participants who had their photo taken received a small prize as a thank-you for joining in and helping spread awareness.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the day a success.
Together, we can encourage healthy habits, promote preventive care, and support the well-being of the men in our lives.

Berry Sweet Summer Celebration at Homestead of Oskaloosa 🍓

Our residents enjoyed a wonderfully sweet afternoon at our Berry Sweet Summer Celebration! The room was filled with festive strawberry-themed decorations and balloons as everyone gathered to welcome the flavors of summer.

Guests sipped on refreshing strawberry lemonade and enjoyed delicious mini strawberry pies while learning fun facts during a presentation on strawberry history and trivia shared by Morgan. Laughter filled the room as residents took turns playing "Stick the Stem on the Strawberry," putting their skills to the test for a chance to win a special prize.

Congratulations to our lucky winner, who took home a tote overflowing with berry-flavored treats and festive decorations! 🍓🎁

National Donut Day Celebration at Homestead of Oskaloosa

Residents at Homestead of Oskaloosa enjoyed a sweet and memorable National Donut Day celebration! The afternoon featured a delicious assortment of donuts from a beloved Dutch bakery, offering a variety of flavors for everyone to enjoy. Along with the tasty treats, residents participated in an engaging presentation that explored the history of donuts, from their origins to their rise as a favorite American pastry. The fun continued with donut-themed trivia, giving everyone a chance to test their knowledge, share laughs, and learn interesting facts about this classic treat. It was a wonderful time of fellowship, learning, and, of course, enjoying some delicious donuts together.

We kicked off June and welcomed summer with a fun Mocktail Party! 🍹☀️ While the weather was warm outside, our Timberline Residents chose to stay cool indoors while enjoying delicious snow cones, refreshing mocktails, and tasty muffins. Everyone had a wonderful time visiting, laughing, and celebrating the start of a new season together. We will have to use our bubble machines next time for even more summer fun! 🫧💙

Congratulations to our Resident Care Coordinator, Felicia, who has officially earned her Registered Nurse (RN) credential after successfully completing nursing school! 🎓🩺
Residents and staff recently gathered to celebrate this exciting accomplishment. As part of the celebration, everyone signed Band-Aids for Felicia's nursing-themed guestbook, shared words of encouragement and congratulations, posed for photos with her, and enjoyed cake and punch together.
This achievement reflects countless hours of hard work, dedication, perseverance, and commitment. Felicia has worked incredibly hard to reach this milestone, and she has truly earned it. We are so proud of all she has accomplished and grateful to have her as part of our Homestead family.
