Our condolences to the Wi******er Fire Department and the Mathison Family, RIP.

The Town of Wi******er Fire Department is deeply saddened to announce the loss of our brother, Scott W. Mathison. Scott was born August 7, 1979.

Scott was very proud carrying on the family tradition of serving his community like his father, the late Chief Dean Mathison. Scott served the Town of Wi******er and the Town of Clayton faithfully for 25 years. He was an Officer, Firefighter, Driver Operator, and First Responder for the Town of Wi******er Fire Department. Scott was a pillar in the community.

Scott loved spending time with family and friends. He was always able to make you smile or laugh with a joke or story. He was always available to lend an ear. He was loved by everyone.
Scott was a pro with mechanics and loved working on his truck. He was always there to help anyone who needed a hand. Scott was a Brother, Dad, Son, Husband, Mentor, and Friend to all.

Scott meant so much to each one of us and there are not enough words to describe how much he is going to be missed.

Rest easy our brother Scott, we will take it from here!

Tis the season for chimney fires ..... please have your chimney inspected and cleaned, also change the batteries in your smoke detectors. It doesn't take much to make things safe. Have a Merry Christmas!!!!

Yesterday we buried a close friend and a wonderful part of our community. Our hearts are full of heart ache for his family and friends. Jake Gilmore was a great kid with a big heart. Please wear your seat belts all the time and be safe. We love you Jake!
