The OASD Education Foundation is proud to bring our community together to support and strengthen Oshkosh public schools. Through the generosity of donors and community partners, we help provide opportunities and resources that enrich students’ educational experiences and enhance their lives.

This year marks the first-ever presentation of the OASD Education Foundation Scholarship, made possible through the incredible support of our community.

We are proud to recognize inaugural recipient, Isabella Alatorre, a graduating senior who has demonstrated perseverance, involvement, and a strong commitment to her future goals as she begins the next chapter of her post-secondary educational journey.

Congratulations to this year’s Spirit of Education Award recipient, Jim Chitwood!

Jim’s impact on public education in Oshkosh has been felt for many years through his leadership, service, and unwavering support of students and teachers.

As a former member of the Oshkosh Board of Education and a founding board member of the OASD Education Foundation, Jim helped shape the vision and foundation of an organization that continues to expand opportunities for students and strengthen our schools today.

He has also played a major behind-the-scenes role in one of the Foundation’s most beloved traditions, Trivia Night, helping create the questions that have challenged and entertained participants for the past 12 years.

Jim believes deeply that strong public schools depend on strong community support, and his dedication has helped create meaningful opportunities for countless students across the district.

Thank you, Jim, for your vision, commitment, and years of service to public education. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition!

The messages reflected the care, belief, and support that surrounds our students every day. From dreams of confidence and success to reminders to stay curious and kind, each note carried a meaningful message for the future.

One of the highlights of the night was our K 12 student art show 🎨

Guests had the chance to view incredible pieces from students across the district and cast their votes for their favorites. It was our own version of a People’s Choice moment.
