To help keep Riverside Cemetery clean, beautiful, and respectful for all visitors, cemetery staff will conduct a fall clean-up from October 19–23.
Please remove any loose, removable, or irreplaceable decorations you wish to keep from gravesites and headstones before October 19. During clean-up week, staff will remove and discard all non-permanent decorations, regardless of condition, including:
Real or artificial flowers
Toys
Wire or metal artwork
Banners
Decorative solar lights
“Saddle”-type planters
Decorations in permanent planters or on Shepherd’s hooks, including flowers, ribbons, and banners
Cement urns and planters, Shepherd’s hooks, and other factory-installed permanent planters will remain in place.
Please keep gravesites free of decorations throughout the clean-up week. Decorations may be placed again beginning Monday, October 26.
Reminder: Glass of any kind is prohibited on gravesites and will be removed immediately when found. This protects visitors, cemetery staff, and maintenance equipment.
Thank you for helping us maintain Riverside Cemetery as a clean, beautiful, and reverent place to visit.
