🚨 Notice of Vandalism at the Oshkosh Baseball Field 🚨
This happened sometime after the games on Friday May 29th before 8 am Saturday morning.

It is with great disappointment that we share that sometime recently, an individual or individuals opened a gate and drove a vehicle onto the Oshkosh baseball field, causing significant damage to the playing surface and irrigation system.

The tire tracks left throughout the field damaged the turf, created ruts in multiple areas, and impacted sprinkler equipment. This senseless act not only causes costly repairs but also affects the many youth, families, and community members who use and take pride in this facility.

It is truly sad to see a community asset treated in this manner. Our parks and recreational facilities belong to everyone, and damage like this takes valuable time and taxpayer dollars to repair.

📸 Photos of the damage are included below.

If you witnessed any suspicious activity, observed vehicles in the area, or have any information that may help identify the person(s) responsible, please contact the Garden County Sheriff’s Department. Even the smallest detail could be helpful in this investigation.

We appreciate the community’s assistance and support as we work to restore the field.

🚨 HELP IDENTIFY THIS VEHICLE 🚨

Sometime during the early morning hours, AROUND 1:20 AM ON THE MORNING OF 5-30-2026 AND 2:03 AM a vehicle was driven onto the grass at Oshkosh City Park, causing damage to public property.

The City of Oshkosh is asking for the public's assistance in identifying the vehicle involved. If you have any information, witnessed suspicious activity, or recognize the vehicle from the attached footage, please contact City Hall or local law enforcement.

Quite frankly, it is disappointing and appalling that someone would choose to drive through one of our community's most valued public spaces. Our parks are maintained for everyone to enjoy, and damage caused by reckless behavior ultimately impacts all residents.

We take great pride in keeping our parks clean, safe, and welcoming for families, children, and visitors. Acts of vandalism and disregard for public property will not be tolerated.

Please share this post to help us identify those responsible.
