UW Oshkosh Police Department

UW Oshkosh Police Department The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Police Department's primary goal is to provide a safe campus environment conducive to personal growth and education.

The UW Oshkosh Police Department’s highly trained, educated and professional state police officers patrol campus 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Uniformed police officers patrol the campus on foot, on bicycle and in marked and unmarked police vehicles. Three of the University’s police officers also serve as liaison officers to the residence halls. Duties of University Police officers include responding to calls for service, self-initiating activity when necessary, building security checks, assisting local law enforcement and conducting criminal investigations. Officers enforce all criminal and traffic laws, and administrative rules of the University of Wisconsin System. Through a partnership with the Department of Residence Life, the UW Oshkosh Police Department operates the Community Service Officer (CSO) program, which trains student employees who assist in maintaining campus safety. The University Police department also offers a variety of crime prevention programs.

25 years later, we remember September 11, 2001.

Honoring every life lost, the law enforcement officers and first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice, and the families who continue to carry their loss. May we never forget the courage, compassion, and unity shown by communities across our nation in the days that followed.🇺🇸

It's UWO Move-In Today and Tomorrow so traffic will increase and we're asking City traffic to help us by adjusting your route slightly.

🚗 TAYLOR HALL MOVE-IN TRAFFIC INFORMATION

Taylor Hall has some temporary traffic changes to help keep vehicles moving safely and efficiently.

If you’re traveling through this area, please take a moment to review the maps:

🟠 Taylor Hall Move-In Traffic: Follow the direction of staff wearing safety vests and use the designated lanes for unloading and move-in traffic.

🟢 All Other Campus Traffic: Stay in the far-right lane, drive slowly, and watch for vehicles merging into and out of the move-in area.

🩷 City/Through Traffic: Consider using Rockwell Avenue to Pearl Avenue to avoid the move-in area altogether.

There will be a lot happening in a relatively small area, including vehicles stopping, families unloading, pedestrians crossing, and staff directing traffic. Please slow down, stay alert, and give everyone a little extra patience.

Welcome to campus, Titans! 💛🖤

💙💛 Thank You for a Great UWO Community Night! 💙💛

The UWO Police Department was proud to be part of the UWO Community Night and connect with so many members of our campus and the Oshkosh community!

Events like this give us the opportunity to step outside of our day-to-day roles, meet community members, staff, faculty, and families, and build meaningful relationships with the people we serve.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by and spent part of your evening with us!

🥺 The old We Heart You app is retiring.

It served us well. It helped connect people to lifesaving resources. It had a good run.

😀 But Version 2.0 is here, and it is better!

Same lifesaving resources. Better mapping. Easier to use. Less “why is this pin over there?” energy.

Please download the new We ❤️ You app today and help us keep getting help to people when they need it most.
