Update on Highway 243 Bridge Closure:

MnDOT provided an update on the upcoming closure of the Hwy 243 bridge. They are anticipating a full closure of Highway 243 sometime in October 2026, which will last approximately 360 days through Fall of 2027. The exact date has yet to be determined, and the Village will provide additional information as it becomes available.

This will affect traffic on Highway 243 between Cascade Street / Highway 35 to Highway 95 in Minnesota and motorists will need to follow the designated detour route during construction.

Please keep in mind that this is a MnDOT project and the Village of Osceola is not responsible for the project schedule, construction, or traffic control. For more information, see the link below.
