In the last three years, the Mayor's Christmas Tree Fund has helped support medical fundraisers, the Ministerial Association's Community Benevolence Fund, Friends of the Mentally Ill Foundation, plus many other groups and individuals in need.

To donate, please send your contributions to:

I love seeing homegrown projects like this. Great job, Quintin! Thank you for making our community an even greater place to live. We appreciate all your hard work!

We have a new addition to OMS.

A big โ€œthank youโ€ goes out to OHS student Quintin Chilson. We so appreciate his hard work and time in building this shelter by the OMS bus pick up area.

Quintin is an Eagle Scout and he completed this shelter over spring break for his Eagle Scout project. The shelter will help support kids at the bus stop when we have inclement weather.

GBR!

Our pump stations and wastewater treatment facilities are having issues with wipes and other material clogging our equipment. Please help our team and follow this very simple guidance:

DO NOT flush cloth or other non-paper material down the toilet.

Cloth of any kind, like t-shirts, rags, and socks, should NEVER be flushed. Ever.

Flushing these products could lead to costly problems with your plumbing and cause backups โ€” and it could also cause large-scale problems in the Cityโ€™s wastewater infrastructure.

I am honored to serve as part of a Governing Body that respects and values the differences of opinion of our fellow councilmembers. We don't always have to agree on everything, but we certainly share a common goal: making Osawatomie a better place to live, learn, and work.

If you're interested in hearing what's coming next for Osawatomie, please join us this Thursday (January 27th) at our regular council meeting. We begin at 6:30pm at Memorial Hall (next to John Brown Memorial Park). We love hearing from residents -- good or bad!

In today's tip, remember that we all have different approaches to situations. Honor the comments and concerns of others while working toward a common resolution. That is a great strategy for serving your community!
