On Saturday, June 13, Osage Beach fire stations were dispatched to the old school commons for a commercial alarm activation.

Upon arrival maintenance was on scene and advised they were unable to locate anything.

While Engine 11 performed their walk-around to confirm we were all clear they located a light smoke in a hallway.

A small fire from a light fixture had ignited in the staircase and was still burning when we located it.

Firefighters immediately took action with a water can to extinguish the fire. Once the fire was out crews remained on scene for ventilation

This is a prime example of why when your smoke alarms activate and we are told to cancel we will ALWAYS send a unit to ensure there is not an emergency. Had these crews not continued their response this day could have been much worse.

At last nights monthly board meeting probationary firefighter O’ Daniel was given his badge and officially welcomed as a full member of the Osage Beach Fire Family.

Firefighter O’Daniel has spent the last 6 months studying and understanding how we operate and we are proud to say he’s completed all of the challenges thrown his way.

Pinning him were his son and wife. Thank you for your dedication to Osage Beach and we look forward to witnessing your career growth with us.

Today, members of B-Shift had the honor of helping Casey celebrate her graduation from Camdenton High School. It was great to meet her and her family. Congratulations Casey, we are proud of you! Best of luck in all you do, we are excited to hear about your next adventure!

International Firefighters’ Day: Each year, May 4th is designated as International Firefighters Day. It’s a day to honor the bravery, dedication and sacrifices that firefighters face each and every day across the world, as well as honor those whose lives were lost in the line of duty.

Our benevolent organization is hosting their annual Firefighters Fish Fry this Sunday at Station #2 on KK.
This year it will run from 10:30am - 4pm.

Come by for "All You Care to Eat" Cod, Swai (cat fish), baked beans, hush puppies, Cole slaw, french fries, and dessert!

Whole you're there you can see the fire station, trucks, and talk with firefighters!
