Flood Recovery Update - Orting Residents

If you were affected by the December 2025 flooding, FEMA may need to verify that you lived in or owned your home to continue certain assistance. Have documents like a lease, utility bill, mortgage statement, or ID showing your address ready if requested.

To be eligible for certain types of assistance provided through the Individuals and Households Program (IHP), FEMA is required to verify you lived at the address in your application as your primary residence. If you are a homeowner, FEMA is also required to verify you own your home before providing....
