Know the difference!

Not every situation is a 911 emergency. Knowing the difference matters.

Three-digit numbers are designed to be easy to remember when you need help. Whether it’s an emergency, mental health support, city services, or finding local resources, using the right number connects you to the right response.

Choosing the right number keeps emergency lines open for true life-threatening situations and crimes in progress, while connecting others to the support they need.

May is Wildfire Awareness Month! This month, you may hear the term "defensible space" thrown around but what does it mean? It’s the area around your home that you keep clear and maintained to help slow or stop wildfire. Cleaning gutters, trimming dry vegetation, and removing debris can make a big difference during fire season.

Take a few minutes this week to walk around your home and identify areas you can clear or improve before summer arrives!
