Vendor Spotlight Time!

We are excited to welcome Angie Grant and her beautiful rag wreath creations and other handmade items to the Orrington Old Home Week Vendor Day at the Orrington Public Library on Saturday, July 11 from 9 AM–2 PM!

Angie creates gorgeous handmade rag wreaths in many different colors and holiday themes. These unique wreaths would look beautiful on anyone’s front door or as part of your home décor. Whether you are decorating for the seasons or looking for the perfect gift, you will definitely want to stop by her booth!

Come enjoy a fun day filled with shopping, food trucks, local vendors, and community spirit. We cannot wait to see everyone there!

Vendor Spotlight Time!

We are excited to welcome Windy Knoll Goats to the Orrington Old Home Week Vendor Day at the Orrington Public Library on Saturday, July 11 from 9 AM–2 PM!

Windy Knoll Goats specializes in beautiful handmade goat milk soaps that smell amazing and make wonderful gifts. These lovely soaps would be perfect for a guest bathroom, bedroom décor, or as a small take-home gift for someone special.

Be sure to stop by and check out their beautiful creations while enjoying all the fun of Vendor Day. With over 35 vendors, food trucks, handmade goods, and more, you will not want to miss it!

We are so excited to introduce one of the amazing vendors joining us for Vendor Day at the Orrington Public Library on Saturday, July 11 from 9 AM–2 PM — Freedom Crochet!

Freedom Crochet creates adorable handmade crocheted creatures and items that are full of creativity and charm. From cute animals to fun handcrafted pieces, their work is sure to make you smile!

The Orrington Public Library will be closed for the Memorial Day holiday weekend from Saturday, May 23rd through Monday, May 25th. We will reopen with normal hours on Tuesday.

As we honor and remember those who gave their lives in service to our country, we wish everyone a safe and meaningful holiday weekend.

Did you know that during the school year the Orrington Public Library also serves as the middle school library for Center Drive School students?

Ms. Brooks is proud to support our middle school readers — helping eager minds discover great books, research for reports, and even explore the wonders of the Dewey Decimal System.

As we approach the end of the school year, it’s time for students to return all library materials. We kindly ask that items be brought back by May 27th.

In the coming week, middle school students who currently have materials checked out will receive a letter from Ms. Brooks listing the items on their account and the replacement cost if they are not returned. These materials are purchased with community funding, so we truly appreciate your help in getting them back on the shelves for others to enjoy.

*also check their backpacks in the next few days for their letter.

Please take a few minutes to check bookshelves at home, under beds, in backpacks, and even car seats. We know library books sometimes end up in the most unexpected places!

And for past students — this is a friendly reminder that outstanding items can still be billed, so it’s never too late to return them.
