The Oroville Police Officer's Association is a non-profit organization representing its members in matters pertaining to their employment, and promotes continued professional development of its members. Our association contributes to the community through charitable donations.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Selma Police Department who tragically lost an officer in the line of duty January 31, 2023.

We send our heartfelt condolences to the family of the fallen officer and the men and women of Selma PD.

Around 1145, a resident contacted the officer regarding a trespasser. The 23 year old convicted felon shot the officer who was transported and later died from his injuries. The officer had been with the department for 2 years. The suspect is in custody.

🚨🚨EMERGENCY ALERT🚨🚨

The Oroville Police Department is experiencing a phone outage which is affecting all 911 calls into Police
Dispatch.

Emergencies can still be reported by texting 911. A temporary number has been set up should you need to contact Police Dispatch, (530) 990-0541.

The outage has affected several surrounding agencies and AT&T is actively working to resolve the matter.
