1). YHFSC is working along the small ridge line between Jordan Hill Road and Crain Ridge Road on the west side of Concow Road - you may see puffs of dirt - it’s not smoke.

2). CALFIRE is planning a scheduled control burn in Magalia around Rambling Way May 27- May 29, 2026.

3). BCFSC - has their Goat Grazing Festival on Saturday, June 6th, 10-4 pm in Paradise; YHFSC will have a booth there this year and we’ll do a FREE give-a-way for an Emergency “go-bag” - be sure to stop by our booth for a free Raffle ticket to win the bag.

4). YHFSC - we’ve been very busy; if you’ve called or emailed and I’ve not gotten back to you yet, hang in there. I’ve received your message and have you on a list. I appreciate you leaving a message - that’s very helpful when you do.

5). Butte County is developing (3) Community Mitigation Plans - see dates on flyer attached. They will be at our Board Meeting June 14th, 2-4 pm at the Historic Schoolhouse at 11666 Concow Road - you are welcome to attend and learn more as well as participate in feedback they are seeking.

Redbud is excited to announce our newest film, Wings of the Feather River; Memory & Renewal in Maidu Country.

The film follows a storytelling journey led by Maidu community members as they explore the cultural, environmental, and historical significance of the Feather River and reflect on the impacts of the Oroville Dam on the land and communities connected to it.

Through conversations with community leaders, reflections on place, and shared learning experiences, participants examine how the river continues to shape identity, responsibility, and community relationships.

This is a free, family friendly community event. Join us for the premiere and be part of the conversation. RSVP Here: https://tinyurl.com/filmrspv
