Join us February 1, at Oroville’s Chinese Temple to celebrate student creativity and the Lunar New Year!

In partnership with Wyandotte Academy, Stanford Avenue School, Oroville City Museums, and Ensuring the Arts for Any Given Child, students created artworks incorporating the Year of the Snake theme. Their artwork is on display at the museum, and field trips to the museum will be available in February that will satisfy the local history HSS requirement for third grade.

📢 The museum will be open from 1-3 PM.
🦁 The Lion Dancers will perform at noon at the Oroville State Theatre!

👏 Thank you to our inspiring teachers and community partners: Ann Chamberlain, Hannah Thompson, Carole Smith, Jennifer Spangler, Muna Calarco, and Kim Dryden!

Come celebrate art, local history, and community! 🎭✨

🎨 When Did You Stop? Don’t Let Youth’s Creativity Be Cut Off! ✂️

Arts education matters, but only 1 in 10 CA schools comply with the state arts education policy. Less than half of California's K-12 students receive an arts education.

✨ Creativity builds confidence, fosters innovation, and helps students thrive. Let’s ensure every student has access to the arts!

📚 Take Action Today:
✅ Learn more and access resources at CreateCA.org

🎨📚 The benefits of Arts Education are truly transformative!

Did you know that students involved in the arts are:
🏫 5x less likely to drop out of school
🏅 4x more likely to receive academic recognition
🎓 4x more likely to earn a bachelor's degree
💼 30% more likely to pursue a professional career

🌟 Celebrating Diversity and Connection through Art! 🎨✨

Stanford Avenue Elementary students have unveiled a stunning new mural that embodies the themes of diversity and connection! 💛 Created under the guidance of teaching artist Christine MacShane, this vibrant piece reflects the creative vision of fifth-grade students, who designed and painted it with care and collaboration. 🌈🤝

This project was made possible thanks to the California Arts Council and the Any Given Child Initiative, ensuring arts education thrives in Oroville City, Palermo Union, and Thermalito Union school districts. Together, we're building stronger communities through the power of art WHILE PROVIDING OUR STUDENTS WITH RICH EXPERIENCES IN ARTS LEARNING! 🖌️🎭
