25 years ago we activated for 9-11. Director Bowie and our Huey set for flight early that am between the two strikes. We knew something was not right. Years later our thoughts are with those lost and those who responded against a horrific terrorist act. Note the Air Gaurd Tanker taxiiing behind us to support Jet Fighters as well.

Did you know our Huey was in the Movies? She went out west to Montana for some maintenance, and Hollywood called as she was one of the few flying Hueys available in civilian hands. DEEMI's first flight in February of 1996 of our Huey UH-1V 534, she had come from 336th Medevac after Desert Storm to DEEMI and we operated her for another 25 years. Now we are using the Little Bird Helicopters in our SAR operations here in Maine.
