The University of Maine along with The Town of Orono, The Orono Fire Dept and Old Town Fire Rescue, Orono Police Department, University of Maine Police Department and University Volunteer Ambulance Corps (UVAC) will be hosting a 25th Anniversary Remembrance Ceremony of 9/11 on the Mall.

PSA

Paving crews have arrived to begin the Forest Avenue project. Improvements will take place on Forest Ave. from the I-95 overpass to Bennoch Road.

The paving work is anticipated to last approximately one week and will occur during daytime hours. Motorists should expect possible delays and are encouraged to use caution when traveling through the work zone.

Strong work by all !! Great to have all agencies working together!!

We would like to extend a big thank you to University Volunteer Ambulance Corps (UVAC), Old Town Fire Rescue, Orono Fire Department and Orono Police Department for helping with our new PSA. Our new video will focus on the importance of driving carefully around crash sites and hearing the voices of those workers. Emergency workers are put at risk when responding to calls and are often exposed and put in vulnerable locations when providing emergency care. We look forward to sharing the new video in the upcoming weeks. Always and .
